I can't quite find words for the note at the beginning of Sleepy Hollow. I read it in my head with a voice much like a voice over of Vincent Price or the narroator in A Christmas Carol. 

"FOUND AMONG THE PAPERS
OF THE LATE DIEDRICH KNICKERBOCKER."

The line itself is almost enchanting.
